Species illustrated/described in the above publication which inhabit Newfound Lake (lake proper; not including tributary streams/rivers) include:

lake trout

rainbow smelt

landlocked salmon

rainbow trout

round whitefish

smallmouth bass

brown bullhead

chain pickerel

yellow perch

pumpkinseed

rock bass

burbot/cusk (17 lb. make lake trout photo)

Other species known to occur in Newfound, but not in the publication, include margined madtom, redbreast sunfish, golden shiner, common shiner, and fallfish.
