Vision
Statement for the Newfound Lake Watershed
A vision statement is meant to inspire us on our
journey to the future. As part of Every Acre Counts: The Newfound Watershed
Master Plan project, we are crafting a common vision for the future of the
watershed. Our latest edition was created over the course of several public
meetings:
“In
the year 2020, we envision a Newfound Watershed where quality of life and
economic vitality continue to be fostered by stewardship and sustainable use of
the watershed’s natural resources, land uses and development are balanced with
conservation, and water quantity and quality is maintained.”
We are continuing to refine this vision statement which
ultimately, with your input, will be used to guide the Watershed Master Plan,
due to be completed in the Summer of 2009.
