If you’ve known us as the Newfound Lake Region Association, you’ll notice something new today: a new name and a fresh look. Newfound Lake Region Association is now Newfound Conservation Alliance. But at the heart of it, you’ll find the same organization you’ve known and supported for more than 50 years.
Why the Change?
We work to conserve the Newfound Lake Watershed, and our new name puts that purpose at the center of our identity. It also reflects the collaborative nature of conservation and the many people and partners whose efforts make this work possible. Our work depends on an alliance of volunteers, donors, landowners, community members, towns, schools, businesses, and conservation partners working together toward a healthy watershed. Along with a new name, our refreshed logo and visual identity give us a clear and recognizable way to represent our work.
Our new tagline: From Source to Shore
Protecting Newfound means looking beyond the lake itself. Our new tagline speaks to the way a watershed works and the way conservation works, too. From the forests and streams that feed Newfound to the shoreline and depths of the lake, our work is connected. From source to shore, we’re working together for a healthy, resilient watershed, today and for generations to come.
What’s staying the same?
The mission. We remain committed to protecting and improving the health of the Newfound Lake Watershed through conservation, education, stewardship, and community engagement.
The work. We will continue monitoring water quality, protecting land, preventing pollution, watching for aquatic invasive species, educating our community, and helping people take action for a healthy watershed.
The people. Our staff, volunteers, donors, partners, and community members are essential to making this work possible.
The place. Our commitment to the Newfound Lake Watershed remains unchanged.
What does this mean for you?
You’ll see the new name on our website, social media, publications, signs, and other materials as they are updated. But you can continue to expect the same people, programs, and commitment to the watershed.
If you’ve supported the Newfound Lake Region Association, participated in a program, volunteered your time, followed our work, or simply cared about Newfound, you are already part of this story.
We’re excited to begin this next chapter with you.
Welcome to the Newfound Conservation Alliance.
