What’s shapes the way we think about sustainability? From ancient origin myths to modern climate narratives, the stories we tell influence how we understand and interact with the natural world.
In this Newfound Science Pub, we’ll explore the field of environmental humanities, an interdisciplinary approach drawing from philosophy, history, and literature, to examine how cultural myths and long-held narratives influence our ideas about sustainability, nature, and climate. Some of these stories inspire stewardship; others subtly shape assumptions we may not even realize we hold.
Join us for a thought-provoking conversation about how reframing our narratives might open new pathways for environmental action—and how the humanities can deepen our understanding of today’s ecological challenges.
