Planned Giving
A planned gift to the Newfound Lake Region Association is a powerful way to protect the Newfound watershed—its clean water, healthy forests, and thriving communities—for generations to come. For more than 50 years, NLRA has stood as a vigilant steward of this special place. By including NLRA in your long-term plans, you help ensure that Newfound remains healthy and resilient far into the future.
Whether you’re beginning to explore your options or ready to formalize your intentions, we’re here to help. To learn more or share your plans, please contact Development Director Audrey West at audrey@newfoundlake.org
Ways To Create Your Legacy
Gifts Through a Will or Trust
A gift in your will or trust costs nothing during your lifetime and can safeguard Newfound for decades to come. You may choose to leave a percentage of your estate, a specific amount, or the remainder after providing for loved ones. Even a modest bequest can create a lasting impact by supporting gifting cash, property, or a share of your estate through a will or trust. Even a modest bequest can create a lasting impact for years to come.
Sample, non-binding bequest language to share with your attorney or estate planner: I give to the Newfound Lake Region Association, located at 178 North Shore Rd, Hebron, NH, online at NewfoundLake.org, and federal tax identification number 02-0398396, _____% of my total estate (or $___).
If you have already included a gift to NLRA in your will or trust, please let us know. We would love to thank you and invite you to join the Clear Water Society: audrey@newfoundlake.org.
Beneficiary Designations
Naming NLRA as a beneficiary of one of your assets, such as a retirement account, life insurance policy, donor-advised fund, or bank or investment account is one of the simplest ways to create a future gift. This option can often reduce potential tax burdens for your heirs while supporting the natural resources you care about.
Gifts of Stock and Appreciated Securities
Donating appreciated securities, such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, may offer tax advantages while providing immediate support for NLRA’s conservation work. Learn how to donate securities.
Donor-Advised Funds
You can recommend a grant to NLRA from your donor-advised fund at any time. You may also designate NLRA to receive future distributions from your fund, extending your commitment to clean water and conservation beyond your lifetime.
Let Us Thank You
If you have included NLRA in your estate plans, please consider notifying us. Your intentions can be kept confidential, and your gift—of any size—qualifies you for membership in the Clear Water Society, a community of supporters who have made a lasting commitment to Newfound’s future.
