Beneath your feet is a hidden world of rocks, roots, nutrients, and living organisms, all working together to support the landscape around us. But unless you dig in, it’s easy to miss the story soil has to tell. Join us as we explore the science of soil using hands-on field methods and scientific tools. Together, we’ll dig into soil pits, identify soil layers, and investigate how water, plants, and time shape what lies below the surface.
